Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is forward focused, calm therapy to support everyday life. IT gives you the tools you need to deal with all situations and allow you to enjoy our day to day lives.

Most commonly, hypnotherapy treatment supports:

Overwhelm

Finding it hard to focus, always feel like there is too much to do and it's unachievable or just don't know where to start. If you find yourself focusing on the things you can't or didn't do, its time to switch things round.

Anxieties

Low confidence, over worrying, can't switch off or relax, irritable, intrusive thoughts. Physical symptoms: palpitations, IBS, brain fog, panic attacks. Replace unhelpful 'coping strategies' and false beliefs and take back control.

Sleep problems

Who is Emma Naughton?

Emma is a loving mother of two from Lincolnshire who is well versed in the realities of daily life; building a career in product management and eCommerce while bringing up two children has brought its fair share of challenges.

Emma's passion for positive thinking and relaxation came from her own personal experiences exploring Hypnotherapy as a method of rationalising and controlling her realities through contemplation.

She now finds passion and purpose in sharing her life changing experience with others by re-training as a qualified hypnotherapist.

Who can benefit from hypnotherapy?

Anyone that has physical symptoms or lifestyle restrictions such as; IBS, panic attacks, low self-confidence, sleep problems, intrusive and obsessional thoughts and low moods and anger.
Some of the techniques you learn can be great tools for fear of public speaking or networking.

All the skills are completely transferable to use in any situation and can be helpful in managing work and working towards career goals.
As the focus is on the solution and not re-living the problem it makes an excellent therapy for those dealing with previous trauma.

What is 'solution focused' hypnotherapy?

Solution Focused – It is what it says on the tin! I work with you to identify the solutions to your problems which allows you to achieve your goals, whatever they may be.

The Hypnotherapy part uses ‘Trance’ a technique that allows you to go into a state of relaxation which helps you to focus on the positive things in life. All the sessions are focused on how to move forwards in a positive and focused way.

How do the sessions work?

Sessions are an hour long and depending on the goal will follow a very similar format. Trance is roughly 25 mins at the end of the session, you will feel very relaxed afterwards but perfectly able to continue with all activities.

Sessions can be face to face in Stamford, Lincolnshire or alternatively online via Zoom.

I see many clients online and it is just as effective and exactly the same content and format as a face to face session. Some clients prefer this for various reasons but mainly the convenience of being in your home.

Why do I need a consultation?

The Initial Consultation is really important as it sets out the goals and lets me know what you want to achieve by the end of the sessions. It is also an opportunity for me to explain a bit more about how the brain works and what to expect from the therapy.

There is the opportunity to discuss any specific questions or concerns and most importantly to make sure you feel at ease and comfortable with me as a therapist. It's extremely important that you find a therapist that you like to work with.

Is Solution Focused Hypnotherapy the same as other hypnotherapy?

The fantastic thing about this type of therapy is that it is a positive talking therapy, there is no need to go over the problem and talk about any of the issues that might be troubling you.

In fact we actively encourage you to focus on the positive things rather than the negative. Using neuroscience and taking the best parts of other therapies such as NLP and CBT, this therapy is extremely effective and doesn’t require as many sessions as some of the other psychotherapy options.

How many sessions will I need?

At the consultation we will discuss the areas you would like to work on. Usually for general anxiety disorders or to achieve behavioural changes we would have between 6-10 sessions. Ideally sessions would be weekly to have the most benefits but these can be flexible.

For specific phobias 4 sessions are required and these can be as close together as needed but ideally over 2-3 weeks.

Smoking is one session that lasts 90-120 mins and is a one off specialist session. If anxiety that causes smoking or concerns around giving up on your mental health we might require a few sessions prior to the smoking cessation session in order to make the transition.
