Do I have Anxiety?

If you have found that you have been distracted, irritable, on edge, tense, worrying more than usual, finding it hard to concentrate and remember things the chances are you have been suffering with anxiety. While someone can have anxious thoughts and feelings it is possible to function and carry on as normal, but when these thoughts and feeling build over time we might find it more difficult to cope and manage.

Whether you have high functioning anxiety; where you still perform tasks well and everyone around you believes that everything is fine. You might notice you are starting to feel burnout; where you find you lack enjoyment from the things you used to enjoy, you spend longer than usual doing things to make sure they are just right, you second guess your decisions, you worry more about if you are doing enough and if its good enough, you feel tired and find it hard to switch off when you do finally relax.

Or more complex anxiety, where you find it harder to do things you used to do, you start avoiding or worrying about things, you ruminate over things that have happened or try and predict what will happen in the future, focused on the worst case scenario, running and re-running all possible outcomes in your head. You might find yourself checking things more than usual, perhaps not trusting yourself. When these feelings and thoughts take over it can be exhausting and leave you with a low mood, physical symptoms, perhaps even panic attacks.

OCD, Hypochondria, Emetophobia are a form of a complex anxiety - these will require anxiety based sessions.
